This collection of paintings highlights the raw power yet undeniable fragility of our ocean’s apex predators. With energetic brushstrokes, Kate represents the frantic urgency needed to overturn the demise of sharks within their eco system. Kate symbolises the destruction and constant threats faced by such creatures through drips, splatters and instinctive mark-making, highlighting the challenges brought around through human impact. Although vilified by global media coverage, statistics suggest that sharks are, in fact, the victims of our oceans.
